During the Battle for Grolle it is possible, thanks to Marieke, to have all kinds of letters, postcards and doodles delivered to the soldiers in the encampments.
Letters to the participants of the Battle for Grolle can be written in advance at home, but can also be written in the camp. Located in the tent of Cooper’s Choice (Kerkwal, near the basilica) is a letterbox where you can post your mail. Make sure that your letter or card bears the name of the recipient and the name of the regiment. One or more post rounds run daily along the encampments, depending on the amount of mail in the mailbox.
Need some inspiration what to write (with)? Think of: a historical message, a modern message with a crown jug, a postcard in a historic looking envelop, thick paper, wax seals, goose feather pencils… and so on. We are looking forward to deliver all your messages, doodles, love letters, battlefield memoirs and other scribbles to the soldiers!
