Special beer, in honor of the Slag om Grolle

This year, Grolsch & Brouwers Nös present a special beer in honor of the Battle of Grolle. Visitors to the Battle of Grolle were allowed to choose their own name. The battle over the name was between:

Wakere – After Lambert Verreyken’s night cavalry attacks

Dulcken – After Mathijs van Dulcken who put Grol in readiness at the first attacks

Capteyn – To the promotion to Capteyn that Lambert Verreyken received after the Battle of Grolle

The choice of names was similar in the beginning but only one name can be the winner. The Slag om Grolle beer of 2022 has therefore been named Dulcken. Dulcken is a brown beer with candy.
It is also possible to order a personalized bottle of the beer. This way you have a unique souvenir of the Battle of Grolle 2022.
