Once again, there will be another unique Slag om Grolle t-shirt for sale at this year’s event!
These cannot be ordered in advance, but will be for sale on Thursday, 20 October at the
Mattelier (Mattelierstraat 19). After that they will be available at the VVV Groenlo
(Kevelderstraat 1). So be sure to get yourself one of these collector’s items!
The t-shirts are available in sizes XS through XXXXL, and as per special request for the first
time there will also be t-shirts for children in sizes 140 and 152.
This time the front will show a depiction of Grol’s fortifications with the River Slinge, and
part of the circumvallation line and trenches that were dug by Prince Frederik Hendrik’s
troops. We see an officer, drummer, and ensign-bearer moving on the cannon road towards
the city. They are followed by soldiers carrying pikes and muskets on their shoulders. A
straggler runs to keep up with the group. This image is based on an original 1627 siege map.
On the back of the t-shirt, you will find the names of all re-enactment groups that will be
participating in the 2022 Slag om Grolle.
